How do you get creases out of leather?
My husbands new leather jacket was left in a car, and somehow ended up with creases on the lapel.
Is there any way to get them out?
DO NOT USE HEAT! Learn from my mistakes - heat (like an iron, or your clothes dryer) can blister the finish.
You can take it to a cleaner who specializes in leather who may be able to assist you in resolving the crease if is very bad.
Most creases in leather will work out by themselves while the jacket is being worn or by hanging it up.
If ironing is necessary, place heavy brown paper over the leather and use a cool to medium iron. Take care not to overheat the leather, which will cause it to shine.
