How can you tell if your dog swallowed a bone?
My dog was chewing on a pork bone that appeared to be a little too big for her to swallow. Now, we can't find the bone, and I have no idea if she swallowed it or hid it. She's acting pretty normal right now though. What should i do?
Just watch her. You COULD have her x-rayed, but unless she is having problems, it's not worth the money. The bone is probably hidden somewhere. Under a chair or sofa maybe?
Watch her for now - if she starts vomiting, stops eating, not able to defecate or shows any signs of being ill or in distress, then take her in.
