outdoor pole light stays on during the day.?
New outdoor pole light w/photcell.Light stays on all day and nite.only deviation from instructions was not pointing photocell north. its 12 noon and plenty of light but light is still on.powered light off then on to see if it would stay off since its daytime.still on. light manufacturer is lithonia and just put up yesterday evening.
the photocell plugs in only one way.light is new so its not dirty yet.
If you wired the fixture correctly, the problem is almost certain to be a faulty photo cell. I don't think pointing the cell to the north makes any real difference in the operation of your light. Best advice is to exchange the unit for a new one.
