Is an HDMI cord supplied with the Xbox 360 Pro or just the Elite?
Hi, I know the Elite comes with the HDMI cord, but does anyone know if the Pro comes with the cord also? Because those cords are like $70, so there would virtually be no difference between the prices of the Pro and Elite if it didn't.
the Pro does not come with a HDMI cord. The Elite is the only one. Microsoft actually sells a HDMI AV cable specifically for the 360 that is $50 that also comes with a audio dongle to seperate your audio to a sound system.
Also, you can get just an HDMI cable for much cheaper than what they have in electronics stores. Wal-Mart has some Philips and RCA HDMI cables for around $30. You can also find them MUCH cheaper online at monoprice.com or the website the other answerer linked. You just have to understand that HDMI is a digital signal and the differences in cables only matters once you are getting to lengths of 30 feet and longer. Otherwise you could buy a $2 cable and it would be fine as long as it was a working cable to begin with. The only difference might be the connectors, but these do not affect picture quality with digital signals.
